The Richmond Hill Community Food Bank is an independently run, non-profit, non-government agency, founded to provide temporary emergency food assistance to those in need. Our strength is found in the generous support of the citizens of Richmond Hill and Thornhill, as well as in the community and faith-based groups, corporate supporters, and our staff of volunteers. Working together, we can make a difference.

Clients must register at side/north door (orange cones), showing photo identification for each adult in the family and proof of address. Pre-packed groceries are handed out the front/west door; please bring extra cloth bags to carry out your food; plastic bags will soon be discontinued.

We will be CLOSED Monday, Feb. 17 for Family Day holiday; plus Fri., April 18 and Mon., April 21 for Easter holidays.

MOST URGENTLY NEEDED ITEMS as of February 2025:  1 Litre juices; instant and ground coffee; dinner mixes/side dishes; pasta; canned and baked beans; baking items such as cake mixes, muffin mixes, jello powder;  condiments such as mustard, ketchup, relish, pickles, olives & barbecue sauce; soups; plus tinned vegetables; as well as size 5 and 6 baby diapers.
