Bidding farewell to longtime volunteers

There was a bittersweet, but fond farewell offered for three special Richmond Hill Community Food Bank volunteers at our annual Volunteer Appreciation event in May.
Ann Bozabalian (red blouse) has volunteered with our food bank for 10 years, but is moving out of Richmond Hill.
Also leaving our community and our food bank is mother-daughter duo, Mary McCon (in black) and daughter Laura (in white). Laura has volunteered for more than eight years, while her mom, Mary, has been a fixture at our food bank for almost 40 years, starting as a volunteer in 1985!
Manager Lee Reynolds praised and thanked each one, and presented them with certificates of appreciation and bouquets of flowers.
As a non-profit organization, we are very lucky to have a full roster of dedicated volunteers, with a long waiting list of potential volunteers wanting to help!
